Governance at Casa college

Casa’s Board has 7 members: 5 representing the community, 1 member elected by administration, faculty, support staff and students, and the President.  Collectively, the external members bring a wide range of skill and experience in education, finance, public affairs, governance, legal affairs, community relations and management to help CASA College achieve its strategic objectives.

Hon Dr Jean Augustine

Hon Dr. Jean Augustine P.C., C.M., O.Ont., C.B.E. is the first African-Canadian woman to be elected to the House of Commons. She was elected in the riding of Etobicoke-Lakeshore in 1993 and sat in Parliament until 2006. During this time, she served as Parliamentary Secretary to the Prime Minister, Minister of State and Deputy Speaker. Among Dr. Augustine’s many achievements and honours includes leading the motion that allowed for the placement of the Famous Five statue on Parliament Hill in Ottawa, and the motion that created Black History Month in Canada.

Professor Komlan Sedzro

Komlan Sedzro is the Dean of the School of Management, University of Quebec in Montreal.Komlan is a Professor of Finance.  On the 1st of June 2016, he became the Director of the Finance Department. at ESG UQAM, and then the research director of the RBC Chair in Financial Services Management.At UQAM, he hs served at various times as director of the Master of Science in Applied Finance and DESS in Finance, of the DESS in Financial Derivative Instruments which he held, initiated and developed in collaboration with the Montreal Stock Exchange. He was also the director of the MBA in financial services, as well as the director of the doctoral program in administration at the University of Quebec in Montreal. Komlan Sedzro, Ph. D., has been a professor in the Department of Finance at ESG UQAM since 1997. He holds a master’s degree in business economics from the University of Clermont in France and a doctorate in Business Administration (Finance and Insurance) from Laval University.

Eng. Adekunle Akingboju

Kunle Akingboju is an accomplished operations leader with over 14 years of experience driving
transformative projects and achieving significant cost savings across various sectors, including
consumer electronics, automotive, transportation, and aviation. He holds a Master of Business
Administration (MBA) from DePaul University, a Master of Manufacturing Engineering (M.Eng) from McMaster University, and a Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from the University of Illinois.

Eng. Adekunle Akintayo

A chartered engineer (C.Eng.) with the Institute of Mech Engr (IMechE, UK), Adekunle is a Project/Engineering Manager with 25 years post-graduate, working experience across the Oil & Gas industry in various roles from Business Analyst, Opns Engineer, Engineer Manager & Project Manager. He holds an M.Sc. in Mechatronics  and an MBA from the Manchester Business School, Manchester-UK.

Professor Funmi Olonisakin

Professor ’Funmi Olonisakin is Vice President, International, Engagement and Service (IES) at King’s College London. She is also Professor of Security, Leadership and Development at the African Leadership Centre in the School of Global Affairs at King’s. She is committed to building inter-disciplinary and intersectoral collaboration, and sustaining equitable partnerships to realize positive and lasting impact

Professor Odoi Yemoh

He is currently the Executive Director of Reality Capital Management and Professor at Humber College teaching Mathematics & Finance. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Finance) from York University and a Professional Certificate in Negotiations from Harvard Business School. He is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), a Registered Professional Accountant (RPA) and a fellow of the Certified Management Accountants (CMA). He holds Master of Laws degree in International Business and Tax law from the University of Cumbria and a member of The Society of Professional Accountants of Canada.

Dr Olutoyin Oyelade

Olu is the Managing Partner and Chairs the Management Investment Committee at InVcap. She oversees the management of the firm’s private equity and funds and has responsibility for business development and investment strategy. Olu holds an MBA from the University of Ife, a Bachelors degree in Philosophy and is a graduate of Wharton School’s Advanced Management program, IMD Switzerland’s Business Marketing and Lagos Business School’s (with IESE Spain) Senior Management program. She is a CPD UK certified Advanced Investment Manager
